 English

I am a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at the King Edward VII Hospital in Windsor and Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. I specialise in medical retina, uveitis and cataract surgery.

I graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine and trained in ophthalmology at St Thomas’ and King’s College Hospitals before undertaking fellowship training in medical retina, uveitis and complex cataract surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital. I am a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and a fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth).

I am committed to academic work. I have performed research across the world which has been published in acclaimed peer-reviewed journals. I am a keen teacher and whilst training registrars in clinic and theatre, also train ophthalmologists at an international level at the European Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) as well as the European Society for Retina Specialists (Euretina).

I am committed to charitable work. I have taught in Tanzania as part of the VISION2020 Links Programme and have run the London and Paris marathons for eye charities. I helped raise over £1m for the Lady Fatemah Trust, a charity that runs an eye clinic in Karbala, Iraq.
